Redesigning alarm clocks to boost innovation inside TBWA. And ending in TechCrunch.
Just The Bell
THE STORY
Big agencies want to sell innovation to their clients. But you need to earn credibility to do that. “Just The Bell” is a new sort of alarm clock we created in order to raise awareness towards our agency’s innovative capacities. It tackles the well known issue of smartphones disrupting sleep. And it does that with a very simple way: bringing inside the bedroom the only thing you need there, the bell. Just the bell.
RESULTS
During several months we successfully prototyped a series of units, remotely controlled with a very simple App.
Selected to present our invention in the “Future En Seine” innovation event, in Paris.
Some very nice media exposure, including an awesome TechCrunch article. Yuhu!
We even launched a crowd-funding campaign in France, and pre-sold some units there, although we finally did not reach our financing goals.

Introducing “Just The Bell”:
The simplest smartphone controlled
and bed friendly alarm clock.
Our first prototypes were selected to be presented in the innovation festival Future En Seine, in Paris, and many medias shared our invention with the world –TechCrunch, PSFK, Yorokobu… So, maybe there’s still hope for humanity, and we can, someday, sleep “free of Facebooking”!
